"In the '14th Five-Year Plan' period, photovoltaic power generation will have to add at least 250 million kilowatts to a cumulative installed capacity of 500 million kilowatts. Only in this way can we achieve a total of no less than 800 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power in 2030 and achieve 25% of non-fossil energy Based on the foundation, we will further achieve the goal of 35% and 70% of non-fossil energy by 2030 and 2050." Lu Fang, Secretary-General of the Photovoltaic Committee of China Green Supply Chain Alliance, held a meeting on October 27-28 Addressed at the 15th Asian Solar Photovoltaic Innovation and Cooperation Forum. Text record:
Good morning, old and new friends! On such a beautiful day, we come from domestic leaders, experts, entrepreneurs and colleagues in the photovoltaic field. We are in such a beautiful place to discuss photovoltaic innovation and Cooperation. Here, on behalf of the Photovoltaic Committee of China Green Supply Chain Alliance, I would like to extend my warm congratulations to the convening of the meeting and my sincere thanks to friends from all walks of life who have always paid attention to and supported green development!
Since the beginning of this year, the new crown pneumonia epidemic has caused a great impact on life and production, and brought more uncertainty to the international community. This epidemic is another warning and enlightenment by nature that we cannot only ask for but not invest, develop but not protect, and use but not repair. Mankind needs a self-revolution to protect the earth's homeland, accelerate the formation of green development of production and lifestyle, and promote the green recovery of the world economy.
We look back on the global energy transition, which is a great epic of human beings bidding farewell to energy dependence to technology dependence. Let us recall that in 1973, American Nixon proposed "American energy independence". In 1952, the fog in London sounded the clarion call for reducing coal in the United Kingdom. In 2014, our General Secretary Xi also advocated the energy revolution, and we have seen achievements recently. We in China are committed to achieving carbon neutrality and pursuing dreams with people all over the world.
Since 1952, our country has basically completed a five-year national economic development program every five years. Energy has always been a top priority in planning. So far, we have reached the 14th Five-Year Plan. This is the first year for my country to build a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way and start a new journey of modernization. In accordance with my country's vision of nearly zero emissions and deep decarbonization by 2050, the energy transition in the "14th Five-Year Plan" needs to be further accelerated. As you can see, coal power is basically shutting down, and coal peaks early is a high probability event. In addition, we must strive to ensure that the proportion of non-fossil energy sources is not less than 20%, which is a very critical indicator. Wind power and photovoltaics will become the main force. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, photovoltaic power generation will have to add at least 250 million kilowatts to a cumulative installed capacity of 500 million kilowatts. Only in this way can we lay the foundation for a total of no less than 800 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power in 2030, and achieve 25% of non-fossil energy, and then achieve the high proportion of non-fossil energy to 35% and 70% by 2030 and 2050. Therefore, we must firmly believe and see that photovoltaic power generation will become the most important power source in the future.
China Photovoltaic is about to enter a great era. I hope everyone will find a correct position in the new pattern and realize their self-worth. In order to live a happy life for photovoltaics for another forty years, we must work together for this.
Finally, I sincerely wish that the Asian Solar Photovoltaic Innovation and Cooperation Forum and the exhibition will get better and better, and I would like to express my sincere thanks to Secretary-General Zhou Yuan.
Finally, I wish this forum a complete success, thank you.
